Chanting is Shin Buddhism’s traditional form of meditation. While many practices of focus on silent mediation, Shin Buddhism utilizes its traditional Sangha chanting to achieve a similar experience verbally. This Course demonstrates this traditional Shin practice experience with the Juseige, a foundational Shin Buddhist chant from the Larger Sutra of Immeasurable Life, written in the first century CE. We will learn its significance, its meaning and how to chant it!
