Buddha Nature is not something out there nor is it something internal that we possess. Instead, it is a living reality that we are intimately connected with whether we know it or not, whether we appreciate it or not. It is not something earned but rather it is a relation that has been gifted to all of us just as we are. We can experience this in the "here" and "now" rather than pursuing the "there" and "then".
