This course will investigate the narratives that we create for ourselves within our daily lives, often constructed from the very metaphors and myths that abound within our culture. In a world of competing messages, Buddhism emphasize those that help us see the world with fresh eyes.

Jon Turner Sensei
Lead Sensei for Everyday Buddhist. Resident Sensei at Orange County Buddhist Church. High School athlete, UCLA mathematician, and computer programmer, who found Buddhism mid-career and changed the course of his life. Earned a Master’s degree from the Institute of Buddhist Studies and was ordained as a full-time Shin Buddhist Sensei at the Nishi Hongwangi in Kyoto, Japan.
